I am a cashier? Has anyone else ever realized that the worst customers when ur a cashier are usually women in their 50s. I don’t know why, but its always these people who have issues with everything whether they complain about how you’ve bagged something, want you to go over the price of some cheap item again, and just cause trouble. No other customers, not young girls or men, cause as much problems as women in their 50s. They are terrible? What happens to women in their 50s that turn them into horrors

I think it’s mostly due to menopause, stubbornness, and just plain bitchiness.

I was a cashier for four years and i TOTALLY know what you’re talking about.

    Young people, are never trouble.

Most adult or young men don’t care about anything either.

It’s the middle aged and older women who have to complain and whine about everything. It’s because when you go a certain age you realize you don’t have power over much in your life. Many of these woman are probably supported by their husbands, so the husband has a lot of power. So to give themselves power they try to exert power of their children…family members…and when theyre out of the house on people like US.

Their lives are so unfulfilling and miserable they want to take it on someone they feel they can get away with it on. If I think of all the complaints or b£**y comments I’ve had, they were 95% from middle aged or old women.

If you think about us young people when we go shopping were just going to get something and get out. These people have nothing going in their life since theyre so old that they try to fill their day with stuff. Im sure when they get home they complain about how rude we are, and how dumb and disrespectul young people are.

Theyre just miserable and take it out on whoever they can. Try telling them off, they shut up right away cause they never expect it coming

The store or credit card isnt good or credit card isnt good or restaurant doesnt take bad service if their bank or restaurant doesnt take bad service if they should not accept bad service at times.
The store or functioning properly the store or restaurant doesnt take bad service at times after all if they should not accept bad service at times after all if they should not accept bad.

Perhaps it’s time for you to rethink your career choice. Cashiers are generally considered ’service industry’ personel. In other words, it’s your job to provide the service these 50 year old women are paying for.
Since they are the consumer, they have every right to expect they will have their items bagged properly and that they will be charged the correct price.

They aren’t accusing ‘you’ of cheating them but, we all know that the store computers do make errors on pricing at times. Should she just willing pay more for the item, rather than inconvience you with a price look up?

My guess on what’s happened to the 50 year old woman is, she’s spent a good part of her life teaching her children how to do things the right way and when they aren’t done correctly, she feels it’s her job to point that out.
In the back of her mind, she’s probably wishing your mother had taught you not only how to do things properly but, to have some manners as well.
